Your photographs are beautiful, especially the close-up! I have the same plant and we call them Angel’s Trumpets. I really lie “moonflower” and have never heard that before! I’m going to try to get a closeup of my own…suitable for framing. Good job! Debra
On a full moon evening look at the open flower – it almost glows in the moonlight – that is why it is also known as moonflower. Thank you for your comment and hope you get a shot for framing, the large size of this flower makes it quite difficult to photograph.
Yes! There is a salmon pink version which I love but do not own. I would say it is a bush because if you look at the bottom photo you will see that it does not have one wooden trunk but several thin green stems. It does not grow higher than 2 meters and then loses all its greenery during the winter.
I do not see my comments on you blog – I wonder what I am doing wrong?
Very attractive and showy blooms.
How beautiful..

Gorgeous! I have never seen this flower in person, so I appreciate the photos.
I think Hawaii has some great flowers so I am glad this one is new to you.
Do these grow on a bush/tree? They look like something I know and has a pinkish salmon-coloured variety.

I think it’s my internet connection that doesn’t allow me to check my blog as often as I’d like.
Those bushes are lovely!
