Weekly Photo Challenge: Summer

Whether you know them as angel flowers, trumpet flowers or moonflowers they are still eye catching beautiful.
The buds growing bigger in the warm summer sun.
Starting to unfold.

Full bloom.

  1. Your photographs are beautiful, especially the close-up! I have the same plant and we call them Angel’s Trumpets. I really lie “moonflower” and have never heard that before! I’m going to try to get a closeup of my own…suitable for framing. Good job! Debra

    • On a full moon evening look at the open flower – it almost glows in the moonlight – that is why it is also known as moonflower. Thank you for your comment and hope you get a shot for framing, the large size of this flower makes it quite difficult to photograph.

    • Yes! There is a salmon pink version which I love but do not own. I would say it is a bush because if you look at the bottom photo you will see that it does not have one wooden trunk but several thin green stems. It does not grow higher than 2 meters and then loses all its greenery during the winter.

I do not see my comments on you blog – I wonder what I am doing wrong?
