Lovely pics – have a blue potato bush in the garden, it’s so rewarding when in full bloom but there are nearly always some flowers open.

A world authority on Camellias used to live here, and whenever we visited he got upset when we called them Ca-mee-lias. He insisted it was the ‘mell’ as in ‘hell’. Not that 99% of people are going to comply!
I thought the bud was cute and struggled to get it in the photo, but yes I admit it – it does look like an awfully rude gesture. I wonder what he would have done to the woman that irritate me when she called gnomes – “genomes”.
