This is a photo of what the ground cover plant looked like last December.
This year it did not produce as many leaves I think mainly because the dog dug up most of it but the little which did survive produced quite a lot of flowers this December.
I don’t know what it is called, it is just one of my favourite plants in the garden.
Pretty groundcover.
Jip, it is annoying not knowing what it is called.
I don’t think I have seen it here in Hawaii, but I want to plant something nice in that patch next to my mailbox. We haven’t had much luck with Vinca and Hibiscus.
Unfortunately it dies down completely during winter.
Those are the sweetest shaped leaves and they look all decorated for the holidays! Those teeny flowers are so delicate. We woud love some ground cover like that but it woud need to grow in shade! Enjoy your day Gobetween!
It does grow in partial shade and in full shade too but then there is no red colour in the leaves it is all pale shades of green which is also beautiful. I hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂
HATE this plants as they kill everything
I wish I could get mine to grow vigorously. It has died down now.
It is Cameleon ground cover. It is a good ground cover, but invasive. When it is pulled up, it will make you gag. It stinks bigtime.
Between the dog and the garden service the poor ground cover was demolished quickly. Haha I never got a chance to pull it a up to see if it made me gag, I don’t think this one smells bad because when I planted it I did not notice a smell.
how does a person get rid of it
let the dogs run over it and dig out as much of it as you can and it will eventually die out.
Does anyone know where to find the plants. Have had the for years and want to buy more for our very good for our steep banks Love them. Our friend’s ask where we got them. Too long ago to remember. Would appreciate any help. Thanks
